Nana and Gaga's visit- Part II

Probably our favorite outing, collectively, was the time we spent at the Summer Palace.  The Summer Palace was the emperor's summer retreat destination.  When he had it built, it was outside of Beijing, but now, it is the actual city and it is massive and gorgeous!  We rented a boat and tooled around the lake for over an hour.  The weather was perfect, one of the best days ever in Beijing.

This is exactly why I love living in China, for moments like this next one! This is a group singing at the Summer Palace.  Groups like this (mainly retirees) do this every day in the various parks around Beijing.   It brings joy to my heart to experience cultural things like this with my husband and kids.
