After attending church, we ate lunch at Mama's choice: Home Plate BBQ. Definitely the best American BBQ in Beijing. They have fried pickles, fried okra, sweet tea, fresh lemonade, pulled pork sandwiches as well as other traditional meats. They also have the best carrot cake in town. It was a packed house and the outdoor seating was taken too because it was a gorgeous day, but it was well worth the wait.

It is hard to be away from my mom and mother-in-law on Mother's Day. I look forward to spending time with them when we go home in a few weeks!
